BIGFOOT: Recent Sighting Report Near Gardnerville, NV

I recently received a report on a sighting near Gardnerville, NV. It was left in the comment section of Bigfoot Sighting In Genoa, Nevada, which was posted back in 2010. This newest comment/report from july 2, 2013 was left anonymously, as most comments are. I'm leaving out details until I can collect more information from the witness, and I've taken it off the comment section of the aforementioned post. Here are the brief details of the sighting:

This is so crazy still to me, that I came across this blog after today....if it weren't for what my girls and I encountered today, I would have never looked this up! We were in most of the day because of storming outside, and we kept hearing the strangest noises out in the swampy area behind us. After about an hour we decided to go out to take a look. The water fowl started going crazy, and before we knew it, we seen the figure of a gorilla like animal about 300 feet out in the swamp. We found strange tracks, but never would have guessed anything like this! While I am still skeptical. I am really watching now, and the kids aren't playing outside on the patio alone.

BIGFOOT: Sasquatch Sighting Report Near Woodfords, CA

I recently received the following report from a gentleman named Stan:

I may have had a Bigfoot sighting in September of 2011. I was returning in my Jeep from an off road run with the club we had been on in the area above and east of the town of Walker. I was headed back to South Lake Tahoe by myself. It was just before dark and I was on Hwy 88 just before the little town of Woodfords, when 2 large dark brown hairy creatures ran across Hwy 88, about 100 yards in front of me they were moving fast and leaning forward, I thought they were horses until I realized they were on 2 feet. They disappeared behind a berm, as I drove by slowly. There was a car that was stopped on the road that had been coming from the opposite direction, as I slowly went by the mans mouth was wide open in amazement. I did not stop because I did not know what I had seen.

The animals I saw appeared approximately 7ft.+ tall, at least. It was hard to tell, they were moving fast and leaning forward. They had either been in the mountains up s/w of Tahoe or in and around the cattle ranches in Gardnerville. They looked to be headed toward the Carson River or Indian Creek Reservoir.

Stan has extensive knowledge of the area's geography and topography as he is an officer in a large off-roading club. Looking back at previous reports from the area, I believe his theory on the subjects' area of travel was on point.

BIGFOOT: Louisiana Swamp Monster on A&E's Cajun Justice

This Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 9pm A&E's reality show, Cajun Justice will feature a story on deputies going out to investigate a sighting report of the legendary Rougarou, the local name for a "shape-shifting swamp monster." Supoosedly the witness captured video of the creature on his cell phone that made the deputies want to investigate further. The Episode title is A Real Drag.

World's Rarest Gorilla Makes Camera-Trap Debut

(Rob Muir, REUTERS)They wandered into camera range deep in the jungle of Cameroon's Kagwene Gorilla Sanctuary. The Cross River gorilla is the world's rarest. No more than 300 are believed to exist in the wild. The species has been decimated by habitat destruction, their range taken over by farms and natural resource exploitation. For the Wildlife Conservation Society, whose researchers installed the camera trap in February, the images were an unexpected but thrilling surprise. The troop appears healthy, although one of their number is missing a right hand, evidence, say the WCS, of the presence of snares within the family group's range in the past. The conservation group hopes its footage will draw global attention to the gorilla's vulnerability and spark efforts to help it survive.



Notice their apprehension as they approach the camera trap. This is in a Gorilla sanctuary, where they are known to live. This is the first footage that has been taken of the Cross River Gorilla. See the parallels?

NEVADA SASQUATCH: Jordan's Bigfoot Encounter on Mysterious Universe

BIGFOOT: Battle Mountain, Nevada 1999 Forest Fire and an Injured Sasquatch

In Thom Powell's book, The Locals, he writes about his discussion with a government employee, of an injured bigfoot that was sedated, treated for burn trauma and then released. It is a compelling account of how a sasquatch was saved by humans, and the government cover-up that followed. The parallels to Jordan's encounter in the same region prompted me to introduce you to the Battle Mountain Fire incident, for those of you who have not yet read about it.
