I recently received the following report from a gentleman named Stan:
I may have had a Bigfoot sighting in September of 2011. I was returning in my Jeep from an off road run with the club we had been on in the area above and east of the town of Walker. I was headed back to South Lake Tahoe by myself. It was just before dark and I was on Hwy 88 just before the little town of Woodfords, when 2 large dark brown hairy creatures ran across Hwy 88, about 100 yards in front of me they were moving fast and leaning forward, I thought they were horses until I realized they were on 2 feet. They disappeared behind a berm, as I drove by slowly. There was a car that was stopped on the road that had been coming from the opposite direction, as I slowly went by the mans mouth was wide open in amazement. I did not stop because I did not know what I had seen.
The animals I saw appeared approximately 7ft.+ tall, at least. It was hard to tell, they were moving fast and leaning forward. They had either been in the mountains up s/w of Tahoe or in and around the cattle ranches in Gardnerville. They looked to be headed toward the Carson River or Indian Creek Reservoir.
Stan has extensive knowledge of the area's geography and topography as he is an officer in a large off-roading club. Looking back at previous reports from the area, I believe his theory on the subjects' area of travel was on point.

Let's go see if they are still up there! I'm sure they are! Wow!!
I was just looking yesterday march 15 to see where they may have come from up on the mountain above as I was returning from Markleville searching for bigfoot prints in the snow. Was just reading of another Deer Hunter sighting on the BFRO site south of Markeville off of Wolf Creek Rd that happened in Sept. 2012 and wasn't report til late Jan. There was another Deer Hunter up on Monitor Pass(this is about three miles or so from the recent deer hunter sighting) from back around 2000 who is a Miwok Indian who came face to face with bigfoot and emptied his 30-30 rifle without even realizing it as he was in such a state of shock. This report was on some Native American site and have not been able to find it again. HWY 4 in and around Ebbetts Pass is my hiking area as there are very few people and has beautiful rock formations with lots of deer in the area for Bigfoot to feed on. I have some areas already picked out for this summer and fall to try to get a sighting. Right now I'm trying to find the location that is on the BFRO site that has a picture from Google Earth that shows the bigoot sighting that happened with the deer hunter. He said there was a 25 foot tree that was turned upside down and some blinds weaved with the tree branches. Also there was a dead deer in the same location.

Thanks for the insight. The area is very active, and I know it has the resources to support a family group or two. If there's food for 400 pound bears, then there is no reason why sasquatch can't inhabit the area. Please let me know if you have any luck and would like to share your findings with us. Please remember to keep a camera handy and measuring tape, just in case you come across some tracks. Thanks again!
Will do and thank you for the great website with all the information.
Bigfoot witnesses say the creature is very human-like, and in some Native and even early European-American cultures Sasquatch is referred to as a man, not an animal. This does make some sense on a few different levels.
