I received a report from a woman named Lisa. She was able to get a photo of what she had seen. Though it is not a clear picture of an upright creature, the proportion of the limb that is visible in the photo seems too long to be a bear. The subject's posture, in Lisa's photo, reminds me of that in the Jacob's Creature photos from Pennsylvania. Click here to see those photos.
Here's Lisa's account in her own words and her photo below:
It was November 2009 my daughter and new granddaughter of 8 months where out for a drive and taking photos, my daughter being a new mother exhausted asleep and granddaughter asleep. So I decided South Lake Area would be a nice drive. I had went up to the parking area took a couple of photos and then started back down and saw the pond on the way up so I thought it would be a pretty photo on my way back down. I pulled over thought nice, I looked around for the shot I wanted then I noticed a big black something that was not moving I thought maybe a bear, dead stump or log so I took the photo zoomed in a bit to capture the shot I wanted of the mountain and pond, trees, then I lowered my camera. When I realized it was none of what I thought I wanted to full zoom on it and get a photo. By the time I raised my camera to get a full zoom shot it was gone. This all happened with in seconds.
I know that it was still for a few minutes then I believe it knew I was watching it so it went to hide. A bear would not have been so still for that long. I have seen and been around plenty of bears in my life. I grew up here, I know what I saw and it was not a bear. When I returned home I loaded my photos to my laptop and that's when I saw how it was bent over a large boulder frozen still.
Lisa.

How exciting to see and photograph a bigfoot. It seems science is on the brink of stamping the animal real. I believe we will always need photos of the animal.Even after "discovery" Bigfoot will not just, all of a sudden, come out of the woods with his/her hands up and agree to a long discussion with any and everyone. What a beautiful area. Best regards, Linda Newton-Perry of the online bigfoot magazine Bigfoot Ballyhoo

What a great photo! I guessed this image was not a bear right away, when Lisa shared it. I have been to that exact location many times as I grew up there in Eastern Sierra Nevada Mtns. The scenery is amazing and to have a snapshot of a bigfoot in it is great!! Way to go Lisa for sharing your experience and photo!

Hello out there. This is an interesting picture. It is something unusual for sure. This could have been a curious Squatch. They are known to get low and nearly crawl in order to sneak up and hide its full outline. Almost as if to look like another animal if seen. Researching for some time in the Sierra i know that Sasquatchs are incredibly intelligent curious and cautious. This Squatch could be hiding its full outline knowing it didnt have the time to make the treeline once it noticed a human. Its rare to catch a Squatch off guard but it is the only way to get them on camera. This may be what happened. They are intelligent and fast. This Squatch was doing its best to use the landscape to hide until it was able to get to the woodline. Great Pic.-Squirl
Seems like it also might be hunched over eating, perhaps a fish? Zooming in on it you can see the texture of the hair is wavey, unlike that of a bear. You've captured a Sasquatch I'm sure of it!
